NPL Series - Valve Regulated Lead-Acid Batteries |
In comparison to the well known and commcially established NP Seires, the servicelife of the NPL series was extended from that of the NP (3-5 years) to 10 years. This was achieved by optimizing plate grid design and separator construction, whilst maintaining the benefits of common electrical design for users of both products. |
- NPL batteries can be permanently put into operation in any orientation excluding continuous use inverted
- Standard container is manufactured from ABS
- Container material for FR batteries option is flame-retardant according to UL 94 VO, equivalent to EN 60707
- Manufacture of NPL batteries according to ISO 9002 Quality Management Systems and ISO 14001 Environmentally Management Systems
- Extension of service life by reduced speed of corrosion by means of :
+- Thickening of the positive plate
- Improvement of the alloy of the positive plate
- Utilisation of improved microporous glassfibre separator, _enhancing capillary action, in order to reduce the effect of _stratification of the absorbed electrolyte
- Valve-regulated design, greater than 99% gas recombination efficiency during charging
- AGM = absorbing glassmatt technology in which the electrolyte is absorbed no free electrolyte
- Maintenance-free operation, no addition of water to the electrolyte required
- High current drain grid being resistant to corrosion by virtue of a lead-calcium alloy
- Wide range of operating temperatures with temperature regulated voltage compensation
- Very good charging efficiency
- High cyclability
- Classified as „non-spillable“ and therefore exempt from IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations
- Conforming to IEC 896-2, BS 6290-4 and Euroba
